Visible Thinking
Tuesday November 5, 2024 8:45am - 9:30am CST
With Visible Thinking, I am only going to focus on one or two of the reading strategies with the main one being “CSI (Color, Symbol, Image). This is a strategy any grade level could use and incorporate in their lesson and it doesn’t take that much time to do. I will attach the template I will be using, as well, to give you a better idea as to what I am describing. The other Visible Thinking strategy, if I introduce a second one, I have not totally decided on it, as of yet. There are so many and I’m trying to only decide on the ones that are less time consuming and the most beneficial. However, CSI, focus on the students providing a color for a text, coming up with a symbol to represent what has been read, and creating an image of that text (the first image that comes to mind from the text). No words can be used, only the CSI, and the student will verbal explain why that color or those colors were chosen, why that symbol and image.

Visible Thinking
Tuesday November 5, 2024 10:35am - 11:20am CST
